stackedbooksI’m Kathy and my husband’s name is Dale.  We love to read and especially enjoy listening to audiobooks.  I’m in my early 60s, retired, and enjoy having the extra time to catch up on books I hadn’t had time to get to when I was working.  I decided to do this blog to express my opinion about the books we’ve read and/or listened to.  Besides, working in Dreamweaver and working on a blog keeps my brain cells active and it’s fun.

I’m particularly partial to audiobooks as my eyesight just isn’t what it used to be and I like being able to keep listening to my book as I go about the mundane daily chores.  I can keep listening while I’m out walking or using my stationary bike.

Did you know you can either listen to books on CDs or actually download them into your iPod and/or many other MP3 players? If you haven’t listened to an audio book, you are in for a real treat.  My husband downloads his books into his Smartphone, connects his Smartphone up in the car and listens to his books to and from work.

My husband is getting me a Kindle for Christmas! I’ll be writing about my experiences with the Kindle sometime after Christmas. The Kindle will also play audio books/music and I can use the Kindle with books from Audible.com too. Sometimes I like to read, sometimes I like to listen, and with the Kindle I will be able to do both with one incredible gadget!
